Strengthening social cohesion through volunteering in emergencies: Facilitate collaboration between formal and informal volunteers to optimize response in crisis situations.
Promote citizen participation in emergency management: Create opportunities for structured participation so that citizens can actively contribute in times of disaster.
Develop joint volunteering models (formal/informal): Design innovative strategies that allow the effective integration of spontaneous volunteers with civil protection and rescue systems.
Reducing overload on organized emergency volunteers: Implement solutions that relieve pressure on formal volunteers, optimizing resources and response time.
Raise awareness of the importance of volunteering in community resilience: Increase public awareness of the positive impact of volunteering in emergency preparedness and recovery.
Promote learning and the exchange of good practices: Hold workshops, community meetings and participatory forums where volunteers and experts share experiences and effective strategies.
Mainstreaming gender and inclusion in emergency management: Ensure that volunteering and participation opportunities are accessible to all groups in society.
Implement pilot schemes in European communities: Develop and test local strategies for integrating spontaneous volunteers in five EU countries, ensuring their replicability and scalability.
